Staff & Leaders

Arlen Hall	Arlen is Tour Director. He is leading the Erie Canal Explorer, Pennsylvania Explorer, Southern Sampler and JettRide tours in 2011. Arlen has been leading tours for middle school and high school teens since 1998. He has logged more than 40,000 miles with teens. In addition he has led tours for Adventure Cycling since 2005. He has crossed the country on a bicycle 3 times and will do so again with Adventure Cycling again in 2011. In 2007, he was touched by those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and has turned his cycling abilities to help find treatments and a cure for boys afflicted with DMD. Arlen loves to ride, eat, and have fun. He is 53 and has two adult sons. One rode across country with him.... twice (age 13 & 17).

Larry Hodgin	Larry is a co-leader of the Southern Sampler tour in 2010. Larry has led tours for Adventure Cycling since 2002. He has more bikes, trikes, recumbents, tandems, and touring bikes, than will fit into his garage. Larry enjoys self contained, and van supported tours. He has an outgoing personality, and enjoys sharing his love of bicycle touring with others. Larry is 62 years old, married, with two adult daughters, two Grand-daughters, and a Grand Puggle puppy. Another joy in his life, is the mission work he does in Honduras helping orphaned girls. Larry and Arlen have worked together for six years, and look forward to sharing their friendship and desire for good food with you.
